On Monday, we made our October Calendars, and decorated our door with pumpkins and a bat with what we want to be for Halloween written on it!
The Share Bag and class book that had gone home over the weekend came back and some cool items were shared with the class!
We read about a dog who loves school!
On Tuesday, we had our Big Event Ff! We each got to wear a Fire hat, Fairy wings, or Feathers (if we wanted!), went Fishing for a Fish in a Frisbee, put it on a Firetruck, Followed Footprints, put the Fish in a Fire hat and ate a Fruit snack! We learned how to write the letter Ff, and we learned that Ff makes the sound F-F-F, and practiced making the sound while everyone had their turn! At Centers, we glued feathers on a Letter Ff that we had cut out during Table Time earlier that morning!
We did the Freeze Dance at Circle Time, and got to hear about Chester's Weekend Adventures with one of our Friends!
On Wednesday, the Alphabet Bag was brought back to school by one of our friends and 3 items that start with the Letter Ff were shared! We also read the book, "Fifi Ferret's Flute" and thought of words that start with the Letter Ff! We did the Ff page in our Journals at Center Time.
We celebrated a birthday with cupcakes! Yum!
On Thursday, we went OUTSIDE to read a story about Fall and go for a Nature Walk! We learned about different kinds of leaves and other treasures that we would be able to collect! Each child had their own bag and collected so many great Fall Finds!
We shared our favorite finds with the class!
When we got back to the classroom, we glued our treasures to cardstock, and/or made leaf rubbings with real leaves and textured rubbing plates of different types of leaves with crayons!
We read this Scholastic Book together at Circle Time!
On Friday, we got together with Ms. Deborah's class to pick out our very own pumpkin in our very own Pumpkin Patch! We painted the pumpkins outside and had our entire Center Time outside with friends from Ms. Deborah's 4s class. So much Fall Fun!
We read this fun Pete the Cat Book, too!
The finished pumpkins are drying in the classroom and will be ready Monday!
We have been having fun all week at Table Time in the morning and at all of or different centers during Center Time.
