Merry Week Before Christmas in the Pre-K 4s!

We had a very MERRY and FUN week before Christmas in Ms. Julie and Mrs. Horton's Pre-K 4s!  On Monday, we made Christmas Cards for our Parents!  The Chester the Raccoon Bag was returned, and we learned all about Chester's latest adventures with one of our friends!  The Share Bag was returned as well and some great items were shared with the class!

On Tuesday, we learned about the Letter Jj and the sound it makes!  At Circle Time, we read a book  about the birth of J-J-Jesus on Christmas Day (The Christmas Story!)  At Center Time, we made Baby Jesus in his manger on the Letter J!

At Centers, we explored some new activities!

Jingle Bells on Jj!

Playmobil Nativity Set Fun!

 Christmas Playdough!

We are always practicing writing and fine motor skills!

We enjoyed some STEM building with J-J-Jenga Blocks!  How high can you build your building without it falling over?  So much fun!

We always enjoy our weekly j-j-jobs!

At our second Circle Time, we had our Big Event Jj!  We each got to pick a j-j-jelly bean out of j-j-jell-o with a tweezers (this is not easy...the jelly beans got very slippery!), drop it into a j-j-jar, j-j-jog to the j-j-jewels on the letter Jj (on blue tape on our carpet!), j-j-jump up and down to how old we are (4 or 5 times!), and eat a (clean!) j-j-jelly bean!  Everyone made the J-j-j sound while each child had their turn!

We had a fabulous, FESTIVE healthy snack today!

On Wednesday, we colored our Jj pictures at Table Time.  At Center Time, we worked on the Jj page in our j-j-journals!

J-j-jenga STEM block building!

During our second Circle time, the Alphabet Bag was returned and some Jj items were shared:  j-j-jingle bells, j-j-jeans, and a j-j-juicebox! We read the book from the bag:  Jaguar's Jungleberry Jamboree, and thought of words that start with Jj to write on our pad! After we think of all of our words, we jump while saying the word (repeating after Ms. Julie!).

On Thursday, we played in all of our Christmas Centers and prepared the classroom for our Christmas Party!  A huge thank you to all of the parents who provided food and drink, the ornament craft, and all of the other decor and party items, and to all of the parents who were able to attend!  We have the best group of parents, and I am SO thankful for all of your help!  It is very much appreciated!

Fine Motor Practice while beading Candy Cane ornaments!

More fine motor practice while making creations in our Writing Center!

Winnie the Pooh items!

Such a festive bunch!

And, OF COURSE, our PARTY!!!

Friday was the Christmas Program at WIPP!  We read books in the classroom while all of our friends arrived, and then we sang all of our songs for our families in the Church!  Everyone did such a fabulous job!  Ms. Julie and Mrs. Horton are so very proud of ALL of you!

We wish you ALL a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2020!  We are so thankful for all of you:  for your generosity, for your willingness to volunteer, for always remembering healthy snack, for helping your child with all of our take-home bags (Chester, The Alphabet Bag, and The Share Bag!), and MOST of all, THANK YOU for sharing your children with us!  They are all precious gifts from God!

See you next year! (On Tuesday, January 7th!)
