Week of November 4th!

We had another great week in the Pre-K 4s!

On Monday, we had our first rehearsal in the Church for the Thanksgiving Program. Then we had music with Ms. Kathleen in the classroom to practice our songs even more!

We made our November placemats!  We cut strips of brown paper that we wove into a yellow mat. We had some new centers for the Letter Bb!  We started our new jobs!

The Share Bag was returned with some cool items!

(We read this book from the Share Bag to the class!)

Chester had another fabulous weekend with one of our friends!

On Tuesday, we had our Big Event Bb!  We could wear b-b-bunny ears as we each took turns pulling an item that starts with the letter Bb out of a b-b-blue b-b-bag!  We put that item on a piece of Brown, Blue, or Black construction paper, then walked across a b-b-balance b-b-beam in our classroom to Mrs. Horton to eat a b-b-bunny cracker!  We all practiced the B-b-b sound as each child walked across the beam!

At Center Time, we made Bandaid Bears!

We read a silly book called "I'm BORED!"

We had fun at all of our new centers!

On Wednesday, we worked on our Bb page in our journals, and we painted our binoculars brown!  We continued to enjoy all of our Centers!

The Alphabet Bag was returned with three great Bb items!  We read the book in the bag, "Bubble Bear" and thought of SO many words that start with the letter Bb!

On Thursday, we cut out Brown Bs at Table Time, read one of my favorite books, "Harry the Dirty Dog", at Circle Time, and used REAL dog Bones (Biscuits!) and paint to make bone prints on our Bs at Center Time!

We decorated our brown binoculars with stickers, too!

We had more Center Time fun!

On Friday, we had our Teddy Bear Picnic, went on a bear hunt AND had a visit from Oatland Island and got to see some real nocturnal animals!

We each got to bring in a teddy bear (or other stuffed animal!). The animals helped us do our table time work.  We shared our animals with the class at Circle Time, and they did centers with us!
We sang songs and danced with our bears and, (of course!), they came to our Teddy Bear Picnic!  We had to have the picnic inside because of the weather, but we still had so much fun!

We went on a bear hunt with our binoculars!

Our inside Teddy Bear Picnic! We ate "Bears in a Bubble Bath" (a brownie with a teddy graham in some mini marshmallows!) Yum!

We had a visit from Oatland Island Wildlife Center!  They brought some nocturnal animals to share with us!  We got to see two flying squirrels, a screech owl named Icarus, and Jasmine the opossum.

We FINALLY got to play on our new playground!  SO much fun!

I hope everyone has been enjoying the cooler weather this weekend!  Remember we are off for Veterans Day on Monday!  See you on Tuesday!

~Ms. Julie
