We had so much fun at our Get Acquainted Day in Ms. Julie and Mrs. Horton's class! When the children arrived, they looked for their animal name tag on their cubbies, hung up their backpacks and played at the tables with manipulatives, playdough, and puzzles; they decorated worms with markers and stickers, and explored the Blocks, Pretend Play, and Writing Centers! So many activities to do! At Circle Time, we went over our classroom rules and sang our Hello Song so we can start to learn all of our friends' names! We then read a book, "Clifford's First School Day!" Clifford sure did get into a lot of trouble when he visited Emily Elizabeth's class when he was a puppy! When we finished the book, we each got a baggie filled with plain white "Magic" Playdough. If the playdough changed color when we worked with it, it meant it is going to be a GREAT year in preschool. We all said "Abracadabra, playdough change color"...AND it did!!! It even had some glitter in it! Wow!
Thanks to everybody for coming to Open House, bringing in supplies, and most importantly, sharing your children with us this year! We are looking forward to a fabulous year! We will see you on Monday in the Carpool line which starts at 8:50 am! Have a great weekend!
~Ms. Julie
